Photons to Photos #16

From time to time, Warren or Ron will demonstrate a complete workflow from beginning to end. The other instructor will monitor the chat box and answers questions on-the-fly. This allows participants to see the entire post-processing workflow from beginning to end, learning how Ron and Warren use various processes, scripts, masks and settings in context.

 

In Photons to Photos #16, Warren will work up some monochrome narrowband data on a beautiful, large nebula that is well suited to shorter focal lengths. IC 1396 contains the Elephant's Trunk nebula and many other features, and is currently well placed for imaging from mid-northern latitudes. This data was collected by our Supernova Sponsor, Telescope Live.
