The Medusa Nebula - SHORGB monochrome data
Next Workshop
Photons to Photos #35
In Photons to Photos #35 Ron will work up an SHORGB monochrome data set on the Medusa Nebula, which is well-placed for imaging in the late winter and early spring. The data was acquired with a C14 EDGE HD, a QHY600M camera, and Optolong filters. Ron collected this data in 2025 from his home observatory, located about a 2 hour drive north of Buffalo, NY.
This workshop continues our very popular “Photons to Photos” series, where Warren or Ron demonstrates a complete workflow from beginning to end. The other instructor will monitor the chat box and answers questions on-the-fly. This allows participants to see the entire post-processing workflow from beginning to end, learning how Ron and Warren use various processes, scripts, masks and settings in context.
