About the Workshop
In Photons to Photos # 37 Ron will work up broadband one-shot color data set on Markarian's Chain, located in the Virgo cluster. This group of beautiful galaxzies is well-placed for imaging in the spring and early summer. The data was acquired with a Sky-Watcher Esprit 120 (f/7, 840 mm focal length), a QHY168C camera, and Optolong L-Quad Enhance filter. Ron collected this data April 2026 from his home observatory, located about a 2 hour drive north of Buffalo, NY..

Ron Brecher
Ron Brecher is an award-winning astrophotographer based in Guelph, Ontario, known for his stunning deep-sky images and expert use of PixInsight. A PixInsight Ambassador, he offers one-on-one tutoring and writes for top astronomy publications. When not imaging the cosmos, Ron is a toxicologist, musician, and passionate educator.
