In our last workshop, “Dialing Down the Noise,” we learned several powerful techniques to remove noise from deep-sky images. With our images denoised, we can now use another set of processing techniques to reveal details in our images, without enhancing the noise.

In this two-hour workshop, Ron and Warren will explore several methods for pulling detail from your deep sky image. We’ll cover deconvolution and sharpening, including the AI-based BlurXterminator tool. We will will show you how to get the most from high-dynamic-range images, and explore processes and scripts for selectively enhancing structures in images. Whether you use an OSC or a Monochrome camera, incorporating effective detail enhancement into your workflow will help you get the most from the data you collect during your nights under the stars.
